Our Copenhagen Diary

Another short but sweet trip to Copenhagen is complete, and we leave feeling excited for the season, inspired to change up our wardrobes, and still daydreaming about the cardamom buns, of course! Here’s everything we got up to…

Our Tuesday was spent exploring the summer edition of CIFF trade show, where our brands Edblad, Glas, Campomaggi, Meimeij, Bitte Kai Rand, and Day ET showcased their SS26 collections. The show had such a great energy and we were especially impressed by the experiential elements that showcasing brands were offering at their stands. {The Edblad-branded pick’n’mix station was probably our most visited spot.}

The excitement of the day was capped off with a gorgeous dinner with the Edblad team, celebrating the brand’s successful international expansion so far and looking forward to an even brighter future for the premium, Scandi jewellery brand.

On Wednesday, the team split up, with Caroline and Lucy heading off to the Day ET pop-up shop featuring a beautiful display of the new collection’s key pieces and an intimate Tarot reading for guests.

We couldn’t be more excited about this new brand at Oldstrom! Day ET adds an unmistakable polish to our accessories offering, with signature bags and functional designs that meet the moment, whether for work, travel, or everyday use.

Meeting with the teams from our international brands and taking the time to discover exciting new labels around the show are always major highlights of this trip - An invaluable few days for connection, inspiration and market research during the SS26 season!

COPENHAGEN ROUND UP

Mia and Beanie just returned from a short but sweet trip to Copenhagen — here’s what they got up to…

First, they stopped by the CIFF trade show, where our brands Edblad, Glas, Campomaggi, Meimeij, Bitte Kai Rand, and BRGN showcased their latest collections. The show was packed with innovation and fresh ideas, making it a significant meeting point for key accounts. Beanie also made a visit to the Mandatory trade show to connect with the team at Isabelle Blanche Paris. The strong international presence in Copenhagen reflected the industry’s confidence in both Ciff and Mandatory, and Oldstrom was proud to have so many of our brands represented.

On Tuesday evening, Beanie attended a private event with Dea Kudibal for the launch of their Autumn 2025 collection. Joined by 18 of our UK customers, she experienced a live catwalk, styling session, and an inspiring speech from Dea Kudibal herself. It was such a special evening, made even better by sharing it with our buyers.

Meeting our international Oldstorm family and discovering exciting new brands was a major highlight. This trip was invaluable for inspiration and market research ahead of the AW25 selling season. Next stop… SCOOP!

GUIDE TO COPENHAGEN

2025 - the year of newness! As the AW25 season approaches, Copenhagen presents itself as an attractive hub for new opportunities. On that note, Oldstrom has created a fresh guide to Copenhagen from where to stay to where to eat - this is a must save post.

BAKERIES ON BAKERIES

Denmark is infamous for its first-class patisseries, and a trip to Copenhagen would not be complete without testing out their universally-loved sweet treats. The Creative Director of one of Copenhagen’s most renowned bakeries, Hart Bageri, says that; “There’s a deep connection between culture and food, especially baked goods in Denmark, and it’s a country that empowers you to enjoy a conversation with a colleague, friend or family member over a shared treat”. Here are our top bakeries you need to try:

EATS

Sticking to the theme of food, our next category is where to eat! Copenhagen is the Nordic city with the most Michelin star restaurants and has an up and coming street food scene. Not to mention the Danes are known for having some of the highest quality fresh fish and organic produce, making Copenhagen the ultimate foodie Mecca. From open-sandwiches to high dining - this is where we recommend:

WHERE TO STAY

We all know fashion never sleeps (but we do) and after the chaos of Copenhagen you need a place to rest your head. Oldstrom has tried and tested these boutique hotels and we can confirm that you will be in good hands. Explore places to stay:

FIKA:

In typical Scandi style, we had to include the best coffee spots to take a moment for Fika. Fika is a traditional cultural practice originating from Sweden that means to take a moment to appreciate life, check in with friends and family, typically with a coffee in hand. Copenhagen has a variety of first class breweries across the city, it was tough but we managed to narrow down coffee shops that are worth a visit:

Please do let us know if you try any of our recommendations. Happy buying!

AN INSPIRATIONAL 48 HOURS AT CPHFW

Exploring CIFF trade show, an evening with the Dea Kudibal team and trend spotting at the CPHFW shows…

The Oldstrom team outside of CIFF trade show.

We had such a wonderful time in Copenhagen this week, attending CIFF · Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, where our brands MEIMEIJ, Isabelle Blanche, Edblad & Co, Campomaggi, BRGN and BITTE KAI RAND were exhibiting.

Oldstrom sales executives- Gemma and Freya at the Edblad jewellery stand.

As well as exploring the trade show, meeting with brands and customers, and attending a showcase event hosted at the beautiful Dea Kudibal showroom, we also had time to get lots of style inspiration from the runway shows and amazing street style looks!

As our Director Caroline told Drapers: "It is very inspiring to be here. It is a melting pot of fashion – you get a full 360 of fashion [due to the trade show and catwalks taking place at the same time] and it is very inclusive that way.”

We can't wait to return to Copenhagen for the next edition of the show!
